Christmas lunch in our refectories
On Wednesday, 11 December, it’s that time of year again: guests can look forward to a traditional Christmas dinner in some of our facilities.
Here is an overview of the Christmas specials:
Mensa Wilhelmstraße (Tübingen)
Noble venison ragout with wild mushrooms apple and chestnut cube topping, French fries Dauphine, almond broccoli florets and chocolate Father Christmas
Vegetarian alternative: Homemade pumpkin lasagne [V] with goat’s cheese, plucked rocket with caramelised walnuts and a colourful autumn salad and chocolate Father Christmas
Mensa Prinz Karl (Tübingen)
Pork fillet roasted in one piece with a side dish of your choice and a small side salad
meatless alternative: Soya strips with wild mushrooms, served with apple-cinnamon red cabbage and potato dumplings
Mensa Hohenheim & Mensa Nürtingen
Vegetable broth with Flädle, duck breast and/or roast beef with orange cream sauce, red cabbage with apple pieces, spaetzle and cone croquettes
Vegetarian alternative: vegetable broth with baked peas, cream cheese and mushroom filling in a puff pastry pocket, vegetable variation with hollandaise sauce, spaetzle and cone croquettes
