Enjoying the moment – giving help
The staff party of the Studierendenwerk Tübingen-Hohenheim is a celebration of meeting and togetherness for colleagues from all departments. All the more meaningful is the fact that it also allows us to give something back: the proceeds from this year’s raffle go to the Förderverein für krebskranke Kinder Tübingen e.V. (Support Association for Children with Cancer in Tübingen).
In 19 rooms, the association provides parents and families of children and young people undergoing cancer treatment with a temporary home during therapy phases. In addition, relatives receive psychosocial support and care services, for example for siblings. The young patients themselves can also take part in activities such as art and music therapy.
Furthermore, the association supports pilot projects and studies at the university hospital aimed at improving support for seriously ill children and adolescents as well as their families during highly challenging phases of life. The entire Studierendenwerk team is proud to support this remarkable and valuable work with a donation of €750.
On 2 March 2026, Managing Director Edith Hein presented the donation cheque on behalf of all colleagues to Horst Simschek, Deputy Chair of the Förderverein für krebskranke Kinder Tübingen e.V.
We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to the partners and suppliers who supported the raffle at the staff party with fantastic prizes and thus provided an extra incentive to contribute to this good cause.
