In June 2026, the Studierendenwerk will be relocating several key departments to a single site in Tübingen. The new visiting and postal address is
Österbergstraße 1, 72074 Tübingen.
The main administration office and the Psychological Counselling Service (PBS) will be moving from Friedrichstraße 21 to Österbergstraße 1 and will be available at the new location from 15 June. The Student Finance Office, currently based in Reutlingen, will follow at the end of June.
“With our new location on Österbergstraße, key services for students are moving to the Tübingen Valley Campus – and thus closer to many students,” explains Managing Director Edith Hein. “Personal contact makes a real difference, particularly when it comes to sensitive or important matters such as BAföG or psychological counselling.”
As a central point of contact, the new location also has good links to public transport.
Please note: During the relocation period between 8 June and 4 July 2026, there may be temporary restrictions on telephone and in-person availability. We will provide further information on this separately in advance.
As part of the move, the Psychological Counselling Service and the Student Finance Office will be issued with new telephone numbers. The contact details will be updated in good time on the individual staff members’ profile pages.
The official headquarters of the Student Services Organisation will in future be at Wilhelmstraße 15, 72074 Tübingen. The management team and its support departments are based here in the administration building right next to the Wilhelmstraße canteen.
