More relaxed through the exam period
The PBS course programme for the summer semester now also includes a free compact workshop on the topic of exam anxiety and presentation stress.
The PBS already held a workshop on the topic of exam nerves in the last winter semester. Demand and feedback from students were so positive here that further dates are now being offered.
That’s what it’s about:
Many people feel uncomfortable and sometimes anxious in performance situations such as exams or presentations. To a certain extent, this is normal and is related to the desire to perform well and find positive feedback. However, above a certain level of nervousness and tension, performance can suffer (not to mention discomfort), and it is often no longer possible to achieve a performance commensurate with the skills available. In extreme cases, when anxiety and stress are very pronounced, performance can collapse completely (blackout).
In the workshop you will experience and learn in practice
- How performance anxiety arises and how you can reduce it.
- What the essential characteristics of mental training are and how you can improve mental strength in performance situations.
- Why it makes sense to decouple performance or success from self-acceptance and self-esteem and how this can be achieved.
- How you can significantly reduce stress and anxiety within a few minutes in moments of high mental stress.
