Jahresbericht 2025
Studierendenwerk Tübingen-Hohenheim
Anstalt des öffentlichen Rechts
Since October, a ceremonial spade covered with soil from Hohenheim has stood in my office. It was used for the symbolic groundbreaking ceremony of our new student housing complex at Fruwirthstraße 15–19, which is currently under construction in Stuttgart-Hohenheim. Excavators arrived on site in August, and by the time of the groundbreaking ceremony a few weeks later, the first outlines of the future buildings were already visible. By the time you read this report, we will have just celebrated the topping-out ceremony in Hohenheim. Construction of this project, which is funded through the state programme “Junges Wohnen BW”, will be completed in 2027. Fruwirthstraße 15–19 will continue to feature in our annual reports for years to come.
Another memorable moment was my first bite of a genuine [kœri]werk® currywurst. Since November, vegan and meat-based sausages served with bread or steakhouse fries have complemented the menu at the Wilhelmstraße cafeteria. I am still experimenting with the perfect blend of curry spices. The excellent sales figures show that our guests are enjoying their daily currywurst just as much as I am.
I was also deeply impressed by the colleagues in our BAföG Office over the past year. Together, they embarked on a comprehensive reorganization process and initiated numerous changes. With remarkable success: within just a few months, the team achieved measurable improvements in application processing.
This brings me to the final image I would like to leave with you before you begin reading this annual report: community. Every day, the Studierendenwerk team works to ensure that essential issues such as housing, food, and financial support do not become barriers to starting or continuing a course of study. For this commitment, I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to all my colleagues.
The following pages provide many more fascinating insights into our work and the results of the past year. I hope you enjoy reading them.
