Working together for nature conservation: maintenance work in the Hagelloch-Rosenäcker biotope
The Tübingen-Hohenheim Student Services Organisation and NABU are inviting students to take part in a joint conservation project at the Hagelloch-Rosenäcker biotope in Tübingen.
The Tübingen-Hohenheim Student Services Organisation is working alongside NABU to preserve the Hagelloch-Rosenäcker biotope in Tübingen. As part of a joint maintenance campaign on 23 October 2026, students will have the opportunity to play an active role in local nature conservation.
The biotope is an important habitat for endangered amphibian species such as the yellow-bellied toad, as well as numerous insects. To ensure that the pond is preserved as a habitat in the long term, it must be regularly cleared of overgrowth and plant debris. During the maintenance event, the grass cuttings that have already been mown will be raked together and removed from the site.
The event will be carried out jointly by staff from the Studierendenwerk and students. It offers the opportunity to play an active role in preserving biodiversity in the region whilst learning more about the importance of this special habitat.
