Studierendenwerk Tübingen-Hohenheim is one of the largest student services organizations in the state of Baden-Württemberg. Its area of responsibility extends over 8 districts. The distance between the two most distant institutions is approximately 170 kilometers. It is responsible for the locations Tübingen, S-Hohenheim, Reutlingen, Nürtingen, Geislingen, Rottenburg, Albstadt, Sigmaringen and Trossingen and serves 7 universities there.
With our headquarters in Tübingen (Friedrichstr. 21), we are located in one of the oldest and greenest university cities in Germany. Many of our facilities are located very centrally and close to the campus. They can all be reached by public transport.
That’s the way it is with working hours
The working time arrangements for full-time and part-time employees are just as varied as the tasks of our employees. The working hours for full-time employees are 39.5 hours per week.
Our administrative staff are subject to flexitime regulations from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., and in some cases mobile working is possible on 1-2 days/week.
Working hours in the canteens, cafeterias and daycare centers are regulated by duty rosters. They depend on opening hours and planned events. Our range of services in university catering is open from Monday to Friday and partly on Saturdays; all catering facilities are closed on Sundays and public holidays as well as during the Christmas vacations.
How much can I earn at the Studierendenwerk?
The remuneration for employees of the Studierendenwerk Tübingen-Hohenheim is regulated by the “Tarifvertrag für den öffentlichen Dienst der Länder”.
Payment according to the collective agreement means a fair salary for all employees, which increases with length of service. There is also a special payment in November.
