The daycare centre Egilolfstraße 37 with its large garden is located in a quiet residential area right next to the campus of the University of Hohenheim. The facility cares for up to 30 children of students between one and six years – divided into three groups. A large room invites the children to take part in a variety of movement activities. Directly next to the daycare centre is a sports facility with a gymnasium, which is regularly used by the daycare centre. The location of the day care centre is ideal for exploring the neighbouring fields, meadows and forests.

Please note: Students of the University of Hohenheim can also apply for admission online via the University homepage (online application). However, the admission form of the Studierendenwerk linked above must be filled out in any case.
Contributions
The monthly parental contribution for children of student parents is 198 euros. This already includes the flat-rate meal allowance (80 euros). After graduation, the contribution increases to 255 euros per month.

Meals
The children receive breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack at the daycare. Breakfast and snacks are prepared by the centre itself, lunch is provided by an external caterer. A balanced diet (e.g. wholesome bread, lots of fruit and vegetables) is emphasised in the meal planning.
Closing days
The daycare is closed 24 days a year. The closing days are based on the semester break of the University of Hohenheim and the school holidays. The closing time in summer is usually 15 days, the remaining days are distributed over Christmas/New Year, Easter, Whitsun and individual bridge days.
