The daycare centre at Wilhelmstraße 97 offers space for a total of 64 children of students between the ages of one year and school entry. There are two buildings: in the villa there are two toddler groups with children from one to three years and a mixed-age group with children from two years to school entry, in the pavilion children from two years to school entry are also cared for. The spacious outdoor area offers space for a wide variety of sensory, physical, social and natural experiences. In addition, the daycare centre regularly uses the gym of the adjacent primary school for sports activities and the professionals from the pavilion also go swimming with the children.

Daycare facilities

Group 1 (Villa): 10 places for children between 1 and 3 years old
Group 2 (Villa): 8 places for children between 1 and 3 years old
Group 3 (Villa): 20 places for children between 2 and 6 years of age
Group 4 ( Pavillon): 20 places for children between 3 and 6 years of age
Group 5 ( Pavillon): 6 places for children between 2 and 3 years of age

Admission

The daycare centre Wilhelmstraße 97 offers care places for children of students who are enrolled at a university affiliated with the Studierendenwerk Tübingen-Hohenheim and who reside in Tübingen.

Note: First, an application for the desired childcare place must be submitted to the Zentralen Anmeldestelle Kinderbetreuung (ZAK) of the City of Tübingen. It should be noted that the application must be made at least six months before the child’s planned admission date.

Contributions

The monthly parental fees for all groups are based on the fee statutes of the city of Tübingen. The Wilhelmstr. 97 daycare centre is an all-day facility with a weekly care time of 49.5 hours. In addition, a flat-rate meal fee of 80 Euros per month is payable (as of 2022).

Meals

The children receive breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack at the daycare. Breakfast and snacks are prepared by the centre itself, lunch is provided by an external caterer. A balanced diet (e.g. wholesome bread, lots of fruit and vegetables) is emphasised in the meal planning.

Closing days

The daycare is closed on a maximum of 26 days per year. The closing days are based on the semester break of the University of Tübingen and the school holidays. The closing time in summer is usually 15 days, the remaining days are distributed over Christmas/New Year, Easter, Whitsun and individual bridge days.
