My-Stuwe – the podcast

The Studierendenwerk Tübingen-Hohenheim has now expanded its media offering to include a podcast. In the future, we would like to let our employees have their say here. As the faces of the StuWe, they will introduce you to their respective areas and answer FAQs.

We receive letters on the topics of housing, BAföG or psychotherapeutic counselling all the time – probably no one could answer these questions better than the experts from our departments! So you want to know what to consider when applying for a place in a hall of residence? What are the deadlines for a BAföG application? Or how your menu is created in the refectory? Then put on your headphones and start your sound tour through the Studierendenwerk with host Philipp Mang.

Episode #13: Studying with a child

To ensure that studying and having children are not incompatible, the Studierendenwerk runs two childcare centres in Tübingen and Hohenheim that are specially tailored to the needs of student parents. In this episode, the two heads, Agnes Gavranovic and Verena Roth, tell you what everyday life is like in these centres, where the educational focus is placed and how you can apply for a place.

The Studierendenwerk is currently focussing heavily on the energy-efficient refurbishment and protection of its current halls of residence. The company even has its own department for this. Episode #08: Coffee first!

In addition to the large refectories, the smaller cafeterias often lead a „shadowy existence“. But these facilities also make a significant contribution to the inexpensive catering for students. In 2022, almost 365.000 hot drinks were sold there and almost as many snacks were produced. In our interview, Michael Rolka from the cafeteria administration tells us what makes the offer here so special, even apart from coffee.
