Semesterticket, JugendticketBW, Deutschlandticket

Mobile on local public transport

Whether you are going to a lecture or the refectory – students can travel easily from A to B with low-priced semester tickets for local public transport. There are three transport networks in the Tübingen-Hohenheim university region: the Stuttgart transport network (VVS), the Donau-Iller local transport network (DING) and the Neckar-Alb-Donau (naldo) transport network. By using connecting semester tickets, you can use public transport as a commuter, for example, across network boundaries too.

Since March 1st 2023, students under 27 years of age will have a second affordable option for being mobile – with the JugendticketBW, you can use all local public transport in Baden-Württemberg.

On 1 May, the Deutschlandticket was introduced; with it, the entire public transport system can be used throughout Germany.

On 1 December 2023, the current JugendticketBW is to be converted into a discounted Deutschlandticket. This means that students up to the age of 27 in Baden-Württemberg will be able to purchase and use this ticket.

We present the different possibilities here.
