Studierendenwerk launches its own podcast
The Studierendenwerk is now expanding its media offering with a podcast on the topics of housing, BAföG, gastronomy and counselling.
Podcasts are on everyone’s ears! Ever since the outbreak of the Corona pandemic, at the latest, audio files on demand have been all the rage among young people. According to the ARD/ZDF online study, more than 60% of 14-29 year-olds regularly accessed podcasts from the internet in 2021. And the trend is rising. So it’s not surprising that the medium is now reaching more and more industries and genres, from science to comedy to true crime.
The Studierendenwerk Tübingen-Hohenheim also now offers students in the university region an accompanying podcast on the subject of studying. Here we would like our staff to have their say on a regular basis on various topics such as BAföG, psychotherapeutic counselling, housing or gastronomy. As the faces of the Studierendenwerk, they introduce their respective areas of work and answer students’ FAQs.
The My-Stuwe podcast is available via the hoster Soundcloud. The audio files are also available on our website, Spotify, Apple Podcasts and Amazon Music. We will soon be providing a transcription for the deaf and an English translation for international students on our website.
The first episodes will focus on the topic of halls of residence. Here, host Philipp Mang talks to a colleague from the hall of residence administration and learns about the advantages of this form of living while studying. We also give students some valuable tips and advice on the application process.
