The Studierendenwerk is reorganising consultation hours at the BAföG Office to improve accessibility for students.
The BAföG office is now offering personal consultation hours again. Appointments can be booked online.
There are now also fixed contact persons for you in BAföG abroad.
During the semester break, many Studierendenwerk facilities are closed or have changed opening hours.
You can also help to speed up the processing.
In order to speed up the processing time, we have to temporarily restrict our telephone consultation hours.
In order for our colleagues in the BAföG Office to be able to concentrate more on processing applications and to reduce waiting times, we have decided to temporarily restrict our telephone consultation hours. Therefore, the appointments on Monday and Thursday have to be cancelled until the end of January.
In October, many BAföG recipients were able to look forward to more money thanks to the heating allowance and the 27th Amendment Act.
On June 23, the 27th BAföG Amendment Act was passed in the Bundestag. A number of changes will come into force in the winter semester 2022/23.
The BAföG office at Hohenheim has been moved to Reutlingen. This also means that the responsibilities of our case workers have changed.
